There are two focus areas on which we concentrate our global missions efforts. We take a trip each spring to the Josiah and Bethany Children’s Home in Reynosa, Mexico and we have a sister church in Haskavo, Bulgaria called Fountain of Life Church. We have enjoyed a long partnership with both of these special places and continue to be excited about the future partnership.
Josiah and Bethany Children's Home, Reynosa, Mexico
Over the last several years, we have taken several dozen people to Mexico for work and ministry trips at the children's home.
The mission of Josiah and Bethany Children's Home is to provide assistance to children that have been mistreated, abandoned or orphaned in a family environment that will facilitate their natural development. This ministry is Christ-centered and assists over 45 children. Our objective to not only to provide assistance with work projects, but to spend time with the leaders and children, encouraging them in their walk with Christ. In a very hands-on way, we are attempting to "look after orphans...in their distress..." James 1:27
Fountain of Life Church, Haskavo, Bulgaria
Fairlawn Heights continues to enjoy a fruitful and enriching partnership with Fountain of Life Church in Haskavo, Bulgaria.
Fountain of Life Church strives to reach out to the Muslim villages around them, reaching them with the Truth of Jesus Christ. Pastor Georgi Yalamov has appointed one of their staff members, who has experienced life in a Muslim family, for this ministry. They are perfectly positioned to make an impact in this area, but often lack the financial wherewithall to support the ministry. We have been able to come alongside this church and financially partner with them to support this important outreach to those around this area
